Sorry mom: Sorry dad

ما التقاليد التي لم تحافظ عليها وتعود إلى والديك؟

Traditions are an integral part of our lives, passed down from generation to generation. They serve as a way to connect us to our roots, our culture, and our family. However, there are some traditions that we may choose not to keep for various reasons. In my case, one such tradition that I did not keep is the practice of going to bed early and waking up early. This tradition goes back to my parents, my mother and father, may God have mercy on them. They always emphasized the importance of going to bed early and waking up early for the sake of one’s health. My mother, in particular, would constantly remind me to not stay up late and to get a good night’s sleep. Despite her warnings, I found myself unable to break the habit of staying up late. I have always been a night owl, preferring to do my work and pray at night. I find solace in the quiet of the night, and I enjoy the peacefulness that comes with it. However, this habit has caused me to struggle with waking up early, especially for the Fajr prayer. I remember my mother’s disappointment when she would find me still asleep in the morning, missing the opportunity to pray. I feel a sense of guilt and regret for not being able to keep this tradition that was so important to my parents. I know that they only wanted what was best for me and that they were trying to instill good habits in me. I can only hope that they can forgive me for not being able to follow in their footsteps. In comparing and contrasting my behavior with that of my parents, I can see the stark differences in our habits. While they valued the discipline of going to bed early and waking up early, I have chosen to prioritize my own preferences and routines. This has led to a disconnect between us in terms of our daily schedules and practices. Despite not keeping this particular tradition, I still hold onto the values and lessons that my parents have taught me. I strive to live a life that is guided by their teachings and to honor their memory in everything that I do. While I may not have been able to keep this specific tradition, I am grateful for the love and guidance that my parents have provided me with throughout my life. In conclusion, traditions are an important part of our lives, but it is also important to recognize when certain traditions may not align with our own values and preferences. While I may not have kept the tradition of going to bed early and waking up early, I still hold onto the lessons and values that my parents have instilled in me. I hope that they can forgive me for not being able to follow in their footsteps and that they can see that I am trying to live a life that is true to myself.احبك أمى  احبك أبى

May God have mercy on your father and mother. I used to remember these words from my father and mother as well, but now there are no traditions. The son shouts at his parents and does not listen to the fathers’ advice. The son has become the father and the son is the father. What a wonder. , 🙏🙏🙏🤍🌹💪
