      1. Referring to Ana Daksina comment. ”Do not publish anything which violates the copyrights” So I cancel my request.

    2. To do so might violate the book’s copyright.

      1. That’s true, I didn’t think about that. Thank you very much for giving this feedback. I as a musician am everyday with the copyright things and now forgetting the whole thing. Well well…

        1. Easy to do. That whole new copyright thing around performing old classics in coffeehouses is nuts, though. They need to draw the line at broadcast works.

          1. As a musician I naturally respect copyrights and I know very well the law about that. Sometimes the slip of the tongue happens. Shame on me!!!! Won’t happen again!!

          2. I’m a songwriter too, as well as author of 5,000 pages of original literary work, so I feel you.

These days I know that the Library of Congress keeps only the table of contents for most works for which it issues a copyright. This dated publication right here is a more reliable record than that.

In addition, I think an exception should be made for Saturday morning folk musicians playing for the tips of a dozen people. Authorities have been known to fine ordinary coffeehouses tens of thousands of dollars for this infraction, shutting them down. I personally think that’s taking it too far, just as long as the musician doesn’t claim to have written the material themselves. Let there be songs to fill the air!

          3. Partially I agree with you. But my job is music and I am trained for the classical music and therefore I think those who make music for living it would be important if there would be respect for copyrights and the musicians should get paid for their works (not stealing their music). This of course is valid for all who publish their own material. Well I just have liked what this Egyptian Lady has written and therefore I left request which really was inappropriate. Anyway must be a bit careful. Have a great day!! And once more, thank you!!
