📍 Location

Giza Plateau, on the outskirts of Cairo, Egypt
(Approx. 25 km southwest of downtown Cairo)

🏛️ What to See

  1. The Great Pyramid of Khufu (Cheops)

The oldest and largest of the three pyramids.

Originally 146.6 meters tall (now ~138.5 meters).

The only remaining wonder of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.

You can enter the pyramid (ticket required), but it’s narrow and not recommended for claustrophobic visitors.

  1. The Pyramid of Khafre

Slightly smaller than Khufu’s, but appears taller due to higher ground.

Still has some of its original casing stones at the top.

Nearby, you’ll find the mortuary temple and causeway.

  1. The Pyramid of Menkaure

The smallest of the three main pyramids.

Surrounded by three smaller “Queen’s Pyramids.”

  1. The Great Sphinx of Giza

A colossal limestone statue with the body of a lion and the head of a pharaoh (likely Khafre).

It’s about 73 meters long and 20 meters high.

Symbol of strength, wisdom, and protection.
