My favorite word

ما الكلمة المفضّلة لديك؟

There are many words that I say, almost all of them are my favorite. The word “favor” or “you prefer” is the word “welcome,” which is inviting someone to come in or to eat or drink. It is a favorite word among all Egyptians. In homes, on the street, in a café or café, anywhere you will find an Egyptian who prefers you and does your duty no matter what this duty is, even if you do not. He knows you and will offer you help. Good, genuine and generous people. This Egyptian, whether man, woman or youth, will open his home to you. He will share his food with you. You will not feel alienated in my home, or the home of any Egyptian. When you walk in Egypt, you will hear that word often. Please come with all welcome. He gestures with his hand and raises it in a greeting of peace.

So that is my favorite word, prefer or favor, as if you prefer the guest over yourself. Yes, whoever comes to my house will have preference even over my household. Here our religion is Islam. They prefer themselves, even if they are poor. Its meaning is that he will prefer you over himself, even if he is poor.

So, gentlemen, your preferred word is generosity, peace and welcome

Thank you for sharing such a heartfelt reflection. It’s beautiful to hear how the concept of “favor” or “welcome” is deeply ingrained in Egyptian culture, emphasizing generosity and hospitality. The idea of putting others before oneself, regardless of one’s own situation, is truly inspiring and reflects a profound sense of community and kindness.

  17. Your reflection on the word “welcome” and the spirit of generosity in Egyptian culture is truly heartwarming. The way you describe how Egyptians prioritize their guests, making them feel at home, embodies the values of hospitality and kindness. It’s beautiful how deeply ingrained this sense of giving and welcoming is, even when one may have little to offer.

The idea that welcoming others goes beyond mere words, extending to actions and selflessness, resonates with many cultures and faiths, especially in Islam where generosity and preference for others are key virtues.

Your words are a gift, spreading the message of peace, generosity, and kindness. I encourage everyone to engage with your blog, leaving comments to build a community of sharing and positivity.

May your blog continue to inspire!🤝🙏🌷🎉
